How to setup email forwarding using the IAS Webmail portal
- Log in to the IAS WebMail portal.
- Open the Preferences tab and select the Mail tab.
In the Receiving Messages section and in When a message arrives: Forward a copy to:, enter the email address you would like to forward your IAS email messages to.
[Note: Due to the increasing complexities and evolving nature of email security, the Institute cannot guarantee the successful delivery of any forwarded message. Many modern email providers employ strict spam filtering, authentication checks, and other security measures that may inadvertently block or delay forwarded emails. As a result, important messages could be lost or marked as spam without your knowledge.
For this reason, we strongly recommend that you do not enable the "Don't keep a local copy of messages" option. Keeping a local copy ensures that you retain access to all your messages within your IAS Webmail account, even if forwarding fails. This practice helps prevent potential data loss and ensures you can always access your important communications.]
- Click on the Save button.
Please Note: Email forwarding through Zimbra will stop once your IAS account has been deactivated.
