Philadelphia Airport (PHL)

Philadelphia International Airport is approximately two hours from Princeton, NJ when traveling by public transportation and one hour by car, assuming no delays.

SEPTA

SEPTA Regional Rail offers transportation from Philadelphia International Airport and to Trenton, New Jersey.

Passengers would take the "Airport Line" train to 30th Street Station in Center City Philadelphia, then transfer to a "Trenton Line" train. Upon arrival in Trenton, passengers would take a New Jersey Transit "Northeast Corridor" train to Princeton Junction station.

New Jersey Transit Trains

New Jersey Transit's "Northeast Corridor" runs from Trenton station to Princeton Junction station.

From Princeton Junction station, you may take a taxi (at the cost of about $20 USD) or the New Jersey Transit shuttle train ("DINKY") from the Princeton Junction station to Princeton Station. The Institute is about a 20-minute walk from Princeton Station.

PLEASE NOTE: As of April 28, 2017, please expect delays of 15-minutes on weekdays and 30-minutes on weekends on all New Jersey Transit lines traveling on the Northeast Corridor line as AMTRAK performs track maintenance. These delays are expected to continue until further notice.
