PiTP Travel Hints
Hints for Arranging Travel to PiTP Program
If Traveling via Plane
There are four international airports which serve the area. Newark Liberty International is the preferred airport for travelers because of it's proximity and ease of public ground transportation options to and from the Princeton area.
Both Newark Liberty International and Philadelphia International airports are approximately two hours away if traveling by public transportation, assuming no delays.
John F. Kennedy (JFK) International and LaGuardia International airports are each approximately four hours from Princeton by public transportation, assuming no delays.
For information on public transportation from each of the local airports, please follow the links below:

If Traveling via Train
If traveling by train, you may take AMTRAK (http://www.amtrak.com) or NEW JERSEY TRANSIT (http://www.njtransit.com) into the "Princeton Junction, New Jersey" station (or if the AMTRAK schedule into "Princeton Junction" is not convenient, you also could take AMTRAK to the "Trenton, New Jersey" station and then take a NEW JERSEY TRANSIT train into the "Princeton Junction, New Jersey" station). From the "Princeton Junction, New Jersey" station, you may either take a taxi cab (at a cost of about $20 USD) or you may take the New Jersey Transit shuttle train (sometimes referred to as the "DINKY") from the "Princeton Junction, New Jersey" station to the "Princeton, New Jersey" station, and then you may walk to the Institute or your program housing (both of which will be a 15-minute walk or less from the "Princeton" station. We will provide you with further details when we notify you of your specific housing assignment shortly before the start of the program).
