DESI-1 and DESI-2: informal update on the current status
I will discuss the current status of DESI-1, some forecasts for the next set of cosmological constraints from DESI and highlight the southern expansion of the footprint happening between now and December 2028. Then I will present the current plans for DESI-2, which is being proposed as a 6yr continuation of the DESI experiment starting in 2029. I will give details of the survey's components, and its interplay with other experiments such as Rubin and the Simon's Observatory.
