MFA Implementation for Remote Access at the Institute for Advanced Study

Multi-factor Authentication at the Institute for Advanced Study

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is now available for use at the IAS when connecting with our remote access solutions. MFA improves the overall security of your account by requiring something you have (your phone or other device) in addition to something you know (your passphrase) before allowing access. Now an information security best practice, MFA been proven to drastically reduce the number of incidents surrounding stolen or guessed passphrases, while being easy to configure and use.
