Eduroam authentication change for Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 8:00am
Dear Faculty, Members, Visitors, and Staff,
It has come to our attention that many personal devices configured to use IAS credentials on Eduroam were set up without the proper configuration. The impact is that without intervention, these connections will stop working later this winter.
We'd like to get this problem solved as early in the term as possible so that it doesn't unexpectedly interrupt your work. This is why we are performing this maintenance on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 8:00 am.
If you set up eduroam on your device by following our instructions using the GetEduroam or Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT), you should be fine. However, if you connected without using one of these tools, your device will be impacted. Take a look at those instructions and reconfigure Eduroam on your personal device at your earliest convenience before they stop working on September 18th at 8:00 am.
If you need assistance or experience any Eduroam or Wi-Fi issue, please let your helpdesk know. We appreciate your patience while we get these issues fixed to ensure a reliable year.
All the best, and safe computing,
Brian
