Ax-Lindemann for Local Shimura Varieties

The Ax-Lindemann theorem is a transcendence result for period maps of global Shimura varieties, which loosely can be stated by saying that the only algebraic relations on period images of a subvarieties of a Shimura variety are those determined by special subvarieties. In this talk, I will discuss the bi-analytic Ax-Lindemann theorem for local Shimura varieties. In mixed characteristic this is joint with Sean Howe, and in equicharacteristic this is work in progress.
