Regularity of Capillary Minimizing Hypersurfaces
Capillary surfaces model the geometry of liquid interfaces meeting a container at an angle, and arise naturally as (constrained) minimizers of the Gauss free energy. We will discuss recent progress in understanding the size of the singular set of minimizing capillary hypersurfaces. A crucial ingredient is a rigorous connection between the capillary problem and the one-phase free boundary Bernoulli problem.
