Instructions for Daily Visitors

Below you will find an example email to send to anyone coming to campus for reasons other than a specific event. Instructions for visitors attending an event can be found here.

Dear XXX,

All visitors, including a one-on-one interaction with a faculty, member or staff person, who would like to come to the Institute for Advanced Study campus will need to provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccination and a booster shot. Unvaccinated individuals or those who do not provide proof will not be permitted on-campus. No exceptions or exemptions will be granted.

We have partnered with CrowdPass a web-based company who will complete an independent verification of your proof of vaccination.  In order for you to gain access to the School of Natural Sciences and the Institute campus, please create an account with them and upload your proof of vaccination and booster shot at this link: https://app.crowdpass.co/auth/1887. We encourage you to complete your registration via CrowdPass as soon as possible, as it can take up to several hours to be reviewed and cleared.

If you have already provided proof of vaccination to IAS and received your IAS ID card or IAS Friends card you do not need to submit information to CrowdPass.

Once you receive your “approved” email from CrowdPass, send it to heretoday@ias.edu for contact tracing purposes. Please include your name, name of your institution and who you are visiting at IAS in your email.

Each day you wish to visit the IAS campus, please send an email to heretoday@ias.edu with your name, the date of your visit and who you are visiting at IAS.  Note: You may be required to show your “verification of approved vaccination proof” while on campus.  Your approval can be accessed at any time on the CrowdPass webpage or by the email that you received.

If you have questions about this process please email heretoday@ias.edu.

Best wishes,
