Mission

WAM is a program designed to nurture emerging mathematicians of exceptional talent. WAM brings together mathematicians of promise at all career stages (including undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty) to IAS for a week-long workshop each year. Founded in 1994 with the mission to recruit and retain more women in mathematics, WAM is committed to identifying and supporting talent wherever it is found.
