Workshop on Additive Combinatorics and Algebraic Connections

Abstract: Several equivalent definitions of rank for matrices yield non-equivalent definitions of rank when generalized to higher order tensors. Understanding the interplay between these different definitions is related to important questions in additive combinatorics, number theory and more. In this talk I will discuss recent progress in the study of tensor ranks. Based on joint works with Alex Cohen and Daniel Zhu.
