Virtual Workshop on New Directions in Optimization, Statistics and Machine Learning

The workshop was organized by Sanjeev Arora (IAS/Princeton University), Roger Grosse (IAS/Univ Toronto), Sham Kakade (Univ Washington), Bin Yu (IAS/UC Berkeley).

We sought to bring together a diverse group of researchers, focusing especially on novel theoretical thinking at the intersection of these disciplines that helps make progress on the underlying challenges for solving real problems.
