PiTP 2025 Archival Presentation and Display
We are pleased to announce that there will be a special presentation and archival display, "Making Waves: The Long Relativity Revolution at the Institute for Advanced Study," by Institute archivists Caitlin Rizzo and Karen Clausen-Brown on Wednesday, July 16th and Thursday, July 17th from 3:30-4:30pm in Rubenstein Commons Meeting Room 6 (second floor.)
Participation is limited to 30 persons per session and registration is required. Please sign up at the information desk in Wolfensohn Hall by end of day Tuesday, July 15th. Abstract:
Making Waves: The Long Relativity Revolution at the Institute for Advanced Study
Institute archivists Caitlin Rizzo and Karen Clausen-Brown will host an archival display featuring objects from the Institute's Shelby White and Leon Levy Archives Center. The display will include an overview on holdings related to the history of gravitational wave research at the Institute. There will be a unique opportunity for participants to engage with original archival artifacts, including objects and correspondence from such notable figures as Albert Einstein, Hermann Weyl, Max Born, Peter Bergmann, and Cécile DeWitt-Morette.
