Probing Galactic Foregrounds and Neutrino Mass with the Bispectrum

Measuring primordial B modes is one of the main goals of many current and upcoming CMB experiments. One major obstacle in measuring the primordial B modes is the presence of foregrounds, which seem to dominate the primordial signal at all frequencies. I will present our investigation into the bispectrum of the galactic foregrounds. I will then describe how our preliminary results suggest that bispectrum measurements can be used to help measure residual foreground contamination in cleaned CMB maps. In the last part of the talk I will describe how the same bispectrum tools can be applied to weak lensing convergence maps. Measurements of the convergence bispectrum probe non-linear structure and I will discuss our work characterizing the effect of neutrino mass on the bispectrum.
