Friday, February 17, and Saturday, February 18, 2012 PLEASE NOTE: Due to an injury sustained by one of the performers, the return engagement of the Grammy Award–winning eighth blackbird has been rescheduled for November 30 and December 1, 2012.
In their place, noted American pianist Jeremy Denk performed works by Bach, Beethoven, and Ligeti. According to the Boston Globe, "So many recitalists these days mix old and modern music, but few have Denk’s gift for stacking both halves of the deck with works of such iconic grandeur, and then pulling [it] off . . . as if it’s all in a day’s work."
