Research Description: David Eng's project investigates reparations and human rights in Cold War Asia. David Eng is investigating reparations and human rights in Cold War Asia. Focusing on unexamined links between political and psychic genealogies of reparation, he is exploring the possibilities and limits of repairing war, violence, and colonialism in the wake of changing conceptions of the human being after genocide and nuclear holocaust.
