Research Description: Ortal-Paz Saar researches Jewish cultural history with a focus on magic and rituals. She is developing a socioreligious textual typology of Babylonian incantation bowls. These intriguing ritual objects from late-antique Mesopotamia reflect the relations between the various religious groups who employed them.
