Ethernet Connection

The Institute maintains a local area network that extends to the apartments. Each apartment has two 10/100 Mbit auto-sensing Ethernet ports activated in the study, which are directly connected to the campus network. Using that network, you will be connected to the Internet in the same way that your office computer will be connected.

To use the system, you need to register your computer. Plug it into one of the study ports and point a web browser at http://regdhcp.net.ias.edu/reg.

Wireless connections are also available on campus and in Housing. Wireless computers need also to be registered at http://regdhcp.net.ias.edu/reg. Please note that you cannot access this site from an unregistered wireless computer, so please use a wired connection to register your wireless equipment.
