Short Term Academic Housing
The Institute's new short-term academic housing units are one-bedroom apartments designed for one or two persons. All apartments have central heat and air-conditioning, a kitchenette, microwave oven only, toaster, coffee maker, compact refrigerator, vacuum, a bathroom with a shower, cable TV and DVD player, as well as limited housekeeping services. Please note that these apartments are smoke-free.
The apartments are furnished with cutlery, dinnerware, cooking and serving utensils, microwave cookware, iron and ironing board, clock radio, hair dryer and laundry basket. Parking spaces are in close proximity to each apartment.
These 19 apartments are LEED Certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which is a nationally accepted benchmark for high-performance green buildings. This designation certifies that the buildings are environmentally compatible and provide a healthy environment that includes energy-efficient lighting, low-flow plumbing, recycled construction materials and uses Energy Star rated major appliances.
