During non-business hours, all Institute buildings (except for Fuld Hall) are locked. We have asked our security guards, who are on duty during non-business hours, to question individuals who are in Institute buildings or on campus who they do not recognize. Our guards will ask these individuals for identification and if they are not affiliated with the Institute or do not have proper identification, they will be asked to leave the campus.
In order to maintain building security, it is important not to prop doors open to gain access after hours. The buildings that are locked should remain locked and secure. Our guards are instructed to close doors that they find open. Carrying an Institute ID card which will permit entrance into the buildings after hours is important.
Below is a list of numbers that you should use if there is suspicious or threatening activity on campus. We appreciate your cooperation.
Weekdays Between 8:45 AM and 5:00 PM: If you witness activity that seems unusual or suspicious anywhere at the Institute, you may contact Security at 9-947-5940 or Michael Ciccone at 8219.
